Fields of Fantasy in Round Top

Rachel Hayes is transforming Round Top with her site-specific public art installation, "Slant of Light."

These aren't your grandmother's quilts.

Using for inspiration the kinds of antique textiles one might find tromping through the fields in Round Top, Oklahoma artist Rachel Hayes is currently installing her massive works throughout the tiny town. When the public art installation opens this Sat, March 20, follow your way under the bright tapestries—you might spy lace and bandanas weaved throughout. Hayes has worked with Missoni to install her one-of-a-kind color blocking around the world for the brand's fashion shoots, runway shows and retail installations.

Sew cool.
"Slant of Light," March 20 - April 4 at three outdoor locations. Details including opening parties and artist meet-and-greets.
