4 New Restaurants To Try Right Now

If the chew fits... Trend-setting restaurants worth stepping out to.

Georgia James Tavern

DOWNTOWN // Located on the ground floor of Market Square Tower, Chris Shepherd's newest concept has Art Deco appeal thanks to wow-worthy marquee lights and cozy, deep blue banquettes. In an approachable version of the lauded steakhouse, menu offerings include wines by the glass, killer cocktails, small plates for sharing, burgers and salads, plus cast iron steaks.

Railway Heights Market

WASHINGTON AVE // With its already highly-Instagrammed stairs, the new food-hall-and-retail concept opens from the players who brought you Bravery Chef Hall. Sample fare from 10 eclectic food vendors, including wine and coffee options, then stroll hip local maker brands and an art gallery. Coming soon: a beer hall, small grocer and dog park.

Gatsby’s Prime Steakhouse

MONTROSE // Open since spring, Gatsby's is now expanding to take over sister concept Daisy Buchanan Room. When the month-long expansion is complete, the cocktail lounge will be housed within the steakhouse. Head in now for premium cuts of beef in a swanky setting, thanks to jazz standards, marbled wallpaper, chandeliers and red leather booths.

Agnes Cafe & Provisions

SOUTHAMPTON // Taking over the sunny space that housed Tropicales, Agnes is a woman-owned neighborhood-style all-day cafe and provisions market. Expect Mediterranean-inspired healthy options for breakfast, lunch and dinner served on pretty blue and white plates, plus foodie-approved sundries, like their house-made shrubs for mixing at home.
