Enter the long-anticipated opening of The Sweet Palate. After months of us pressing our faces against the glass windows of this French Quarter nook, the doors have finally swung open to reveal morning-musts like coffee and croissants. in addition to the treat shop’s delish array of Italian-style gelato, there are bite-sized chocolates from Food & Wine-touted patisserie chef Oriol Balaguer, in flavors like pineapple and coconut or dark chocolate ganache infused with soy.
It’s all sure to be worth the weight.
