Diane Lane did it in Positano. Julia’s doing it in Italy, India and Bali. If it’s a passport and some frequent flier miles that’s holding you back from finding your Eat, Pray, Love destiny, consider your problem solved. We’ve gathered ideas for you to experience all the pleasures those well-traveled women did right here in New Orleans. Your postcard-perfect moment awaits.

EAT
Mangia in mid-city at Nonna Mia, a sweet little house turned Italian-style cafe. Dine al fresco in the garden-esque patio or pull up a chair inside where photos of Italian models adorn the walls. Go light and delicious with vegetarian pleasers like grilled eggplant and a glass of ginger mint lemonade, or split a pancetta Tuscan pizza, a bottle of red and a classic cannoli.

PRAY
You, a yoga mat, a brand new day. Experience a truly inspiring prayer session with an early morning Yoga at the Cabildo class. Held every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 – 8:45 a.m., and on Saturdays from 8:30 – 9:45 a.m., you’ll get a head to toe stretch session in the light-filled gallery right in the heart of Jackson Square. Let the chiming of the Cathedral bells lead you through the hour class designed for all levels of practice. $12 donation per class or purchase a year pass to the Louisiana State Museum and pay only $6 per class.

LOVE
Looking for the perfect way to spend a sultry summer night in Nola? Treat your plus one to a date at Bacchanal Wine, a secret garden in the Ninth Ward that is romance personified. Stop inside to pick out a bottle of vino, pair it with a selection of gourmet cheese, and head out to the backyard to await the platter (complete with sliced baguette) that the staff will artfully arrange for you. Spend the night smooching under a canopy of trees and stars all to the tune of some live local music.
In celebration of the movie, we’ve got a chance for you to win exclusive advanced screening tickets to Eat, Pray, Love on Thursday, August 12th!
