Eat & Sip

July 22, 2010

Raise your hand if you’ve ever tried the Master Cleanse to lose a couple of quick pounds. Thank you, BeyoncĂ©, your honesty is appreciated.

Newly opened Pho Nola, the Vietnamese eatery in Metarie, has its own spin on the weight-dropping drink: a house special Boba Tea made with mango, lime juice, honey and a hint of cayenne pepper. Although not meant to be a waist-whittler, seems like it could be a tasty lunch alternative and the mango will be like a spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down. If that doesn’t satisfy your hunger, go ahead and follow it up with a Char-grilled Lemongrass Chicken Po-Boy and a Saigon Crepe for good measure.

You’ve got two choices: suck it up or suck it in.
